How Much Do Karate Lessons Cost? Martial Arts Classes pricing

Start With a Free Trial Week
Choosing a martial arts school is about more than price. You want to know whether your child likes the classes, connects with the instructors and feels comfortable in the school. That's why we offer new students a free trial week before beginning the six-week introductory program. Parents are welcome to watch and see how we teach, how their child responds to the instructors and whether Stevens Martial Arts feels like the right fit for their family. There is no obligation to enroll after the trial week. Convenient Karate Classes for Busy Families
One of the biggest challenges parents face with children's activities is scheduling. That's why we make our beginner karate program available at 8 different class times throughout the week. Rather than having only one or two opportunities to attend, families have multiple class options, making it easier to work martial arts around school, homework and other activities. Students normally attend two classes per week.

What Does the $149 Karate Program Include?

The introductory program isn't simply six weeks of access to the school.

Your child receives structured martial arts instruction designed to introduce the fundamentals of karate while developing skills such as confidence, focus, listening, discipline, coordination and respect.

We also place a strong emphasis on communication and helping children learn to speak with confidence.

And because your child's martial arts uniform is included, you won't need to purchase one separately to participate in the introductory program.

A Parent's Guide to Karate Prices, What affects the cost of karate lessons?

Number of classes — Is the quoted price for one class per week, two classes, or unlimited training?

Class structure — Are children grouped appropriately by age and experience?

Instructor staffing — How many instructors are actually available to work with the students?

Uniforms and equipment — Are these included or additional?

Belt testing fees — Is there an additional charge every time a child advances?

Registration fees — Is there another charge when enrolling?

Membership terms — Is the advertised price an introductory offer or the ongoing tuition?

Don't compare karate schools by price alone

The least expensive karate program isn't automatically the best value—and the most expensive isn't automatically the best either.

Parents should look at what they're actually receiving. Consider the experience of the instructors, class size and structure, how students are grouped, how often your child can attend, what happens when your child needs extra help, and whether additional fees will be added later.

Most importantly, watch how the instructors interact with the children. A martial arts program should be a place where your child feels challenged, supported and excited to improve.
