On October 16, 2017 Bill Stevens Karate of Ramsey NJ Visits Ramsey Hubbard School for a Karate demo. The event focused on teaching  kids the Mind and body relationships, how to deal with Bullies. The kids got a chance to try Karate and learn self defense . Thanks to my nephew Jake!

Bill Stevens Karate Visits Hubbard School in Ramsey

On October 16, 2017, Bill Stevens Karate visited Hubbard School in Ramsey, NJ, for an interactive karate demonstration. Students had the opportunity to try karate, explore basic self-defense, and learn about the connection between their minds and bodies.

For me, visiting local schools is an opportunity to share lessons that reach beyond the karate classroom. Martial arts gives children a way to practice listening, staying focused, and approaching new challenges with a positive attitude.

Building Confidence Through Martial Arts

Confidence grows when children have opportunities to try something new. They don’t need to get everything right the first time. Learning to keep trying, follow directions, and recognize their own progress is an important part of the experience.

At Bill Stevens Karate, we encourage a “Yes I Can” attitude. Our goal is to help students become more comfortable participating, speaking up, and believing in their ability to learn.

Bully Awareness and Personal Safety

Bully awareness was another focus of the Hubbard School visit. Our approach to teaching personal safety emphasizes awareness, self-control, and seeking help from a trusted adult.

We want children to understand that confidence comes with responsibility. Being respectful, using their voices, and making thoughtful choices are valuable skills at school, at home, and in the community.
